Glendale Fight Night Returns To The Jewel City December 12th Three Bouts To Be Broadcast Live On HBO Latino Boxing

Bash BoxingLive Professional Boxing returns to the Glendale Civic Auditorium on Saturday, December 12, 2015 for the 8th installment of Glendale Fight Night.

Top Mexican welterweights Pedro Campa (18-0, 14 KOs) and Aaron Herrera (21-3-1, 12 KOs) collide in a 10 round bout during a televised tripleheader on HBO Latino.  Campa, of Hermosillo, Mexico, has knockout wins in seven of his last eight bouts.  Hererra, of Yucatan, Mexico, has been unbeaten for two years.

In a bout with major world title implications, undefeated Cuban import Sullivan Barrera (16-0, 11 KOs) will face Karo Murat (27-2-1, 17 KOs) in an IBF Light Heavyweight eliminator bout for the #1 mandatory position. The winner will earn the right to challenge WBO, WBA, and IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (28-0-1, 25 KOs) for his world titles in 2016.

Bash BoxingBarrera has quietly risen through the ranks of the light heavyweight division since his defection from Cuba and his professional debut in 2009. He has an impressive 68% (11 of 16) knockout-to-win ratio and has stopped his last five opponents in eight rounds or less. On the other side of the ledger, the 32-year old Murat has nearly twice as many professional fights as Barrera and his two losses are an IBF World Title challenge to legendary Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins and a stoppage at the hands of former WBO Light Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly

The opening bout of the HBO Latino telecast will feature undefeated phenom Arif "Mayhem" Magomedov (16-0, 9 KOs) of Chekhov, Russia defending his WBO NABO Middleweight title against southpaw Jonatan "Oso" Tavira (12-3, 9 KOs) of Distrito Federal, Mexico. Magomedov, training out of the famed Glendale Fighting Club, handed veteran Derrick "Take it to the Bank" Webster his first career loss in a ten-round unanimous decision to secure the vacant WBO NABO Middleweight Title. Now in his HBO debut, Magomedov looks to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with in the middleweight division.
