 This Saturday June 17th, the landscape of professional MMA in the great State of California will change forever as California Extreme Fighting (CXF) commences on a historic tournament to determine the first CALI KING. The talented lightweight (155lb) division in California will be on full display as 8 of the best MMA fighters in the state step into the cage on June 17th in the first round of the CALI KINGS round robin tournament at the Burbank Marriott Convention Center in Burbank.

With CXF 8: CALI KINGS just days away, here is the second in a four-part video series highlighting the opening round bouts. 

BOUT #2:

Thor Skancke (9-7 MMA) 
             vs.
Darren Smith (10-7 MMA)

Before randomly choosing opening round opponents, both Skancke and Smith were hoping to face each other. Familiar opponents, Smith was able to best Skancke in their first engagement via decision, a result that still leaves a nasty taste in the mouth of Skancke. As the opening round matchup was drawn at random, it appears the combat gods wanted this rematch as well. Expect an all out war when these two bitter rivals face off in the first round of the CALI KINGS Lightweight Tournament.
