Super lightweight contender Jose Felix Jr (30-1-1, 24 KOs) hammered out a hard fought ten round unanimous decision over the rugged Yakubu Amidu (21-7-2, 19 KOs) in a super lightweight bout on Saturday night at the Florentine Gardens, Hollywood, California. Both fighters were down in a wild round nine. Felix prevailed by scores of 97-93, 97-93, 98-92.
Featherweight Carlos Carlson (18-1, 12 KOs) scored a fourth round KO over Heriberto Delgado (11-3, 6 KOs). Carlson dropped Delgado twice in round four to end it. Time was 1:43.
