October 14, 2016- Once-defeated Lightweight Jose Felix Jr. looked impressive on Friday night by stopping a tough-as-nails Alan Herrera in the third round of the Top Rank / Bash Promotions fight card at the Sportmen's Lodge in Studio City, California.

Felix, now 35-1-1 with 27KOs, was much too quick and shifty, for Herrera, who despite looking very prepared and charging forward, was meet with sharp combinations by Felix on both the counter and while pivoting.
Herrera, (34-9, 22KOs) was downed in the third round, a rapid-fire follow-up attack forcing referee Raul Caiz to step in for the save at 1:42 of the round.

With the win, Felix Jr., who's gone three for three this year is closing in fast on another world title shot, as he is rated #3 by the WBO and #5 in the IBF rankings.

On the co-featured bout, Olympian KO artist, Welterweight Egis “The Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas (15-0, 12 KOs) was extended the eight round distance by Cameron Krael (8-12-2, 1 KO)

Despite the unimpressive record, Krael showed plenty of skill and speed, as he went punch for punch with Kavaliauskas, who was rocked and cut in the late round's of a very tight fight.

Scores were 77-75 on all cards for Kavaliauskas.
